From 1907 to 1988, Pacific Car & Foundry Co. (PACCAR) manufactured trucks, military equipment, and railroad cars on a 82-acre facility. Until 1964, the facility put waste materials, including foundry sand, wood, metal, paints, solvents, and oils in a marshy area. Wastes were buried up to 7 feet below the surface in peat and clay. Site Responsibility: This site is being addressed through state and potentially responsible parties' actions.
