INTERSECTION OF BANDERA ROAD AND

The Bandera Road Ground Water Plume Superfund Site (Site) is located in the City of Leon Valley , Bexar County, Texas . The Site encompasses as area of approximately 1 mile long by ½ mile wide. The site was identified as a result of assessment activities conducted pursuant to the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality Voluntary Clean - up Program. The investigation id entified the presence of tetrachloroethene (PCE) and trichloroethene (TCE) in concentrations above the Maximum Contaminant Level within the Edwards Aquifer. The Maximum Contaminant Level for both is 5 parts per billion. The Edwards Aquifer is the sole - source drinking water aquifer for central Texas.
