The site is within the Ouachita Mountains, and is approximately 5 miles north of Nimrod Lake.The site is located on a 95 acres tract of property, of which approximately 15 acres were the abandoned wood treatment facilities that comprises the Mt. Pine Pressure Treating Superfund Site. Approximately 45 acres of this tract is timberland and the remainder is grassland. The property is bordered on the north by State Highway 28, on the east by the town of Plainview, Arkansas, on the south by grass and woodlands, and on the west by Sunlight Bay Road. The geographical coordinates of the site are 34 o 59' 00" North latitude and 93o 18' 12" West longitude.
